Artspace Solar Gardens opened in August 2013. It is the first net zero mixed-use energy building with onsite solar production in the state of Utah. Solar Gardens is close to downtown on the 800 South bike path, near a GREENbike station, two blocks from the 900 South TRAX stop, and includes a community garden, water-wise xeriscape landscaping, affordable residential units, and street level artist studios, office and retail space.

Artspace Solar Gardens has 859 solar photovoltaic panels on the building's roof and adjacent solar structure.
